The Bridgeland Christmas Market & Listening Room will be an exciting community event showcasing the very best that local artists and designers in Calgary have to offer. The market will be on the lower main level of the Community Hall, and the Listening Room will take place in the upstairs “lantern” room. The Listening Room will feature several local musical acts throughout the day.
Free to the public and all ages are welcome! Free parking, free coffee, and live music – does it get any better?

This event is gaining excitement in the Bridgeland community, and both vendors and musical acts are looking forward to having a large audience! This event also presents a unique opportunity for Calgary inner-city residents to meet each other and celebrate our community.
The vendors for the market are selected by a committee to ensure they are local, independent, and meet quality standards. We encourage neighborhood artists and vendors to join us.
The $1200.00 from this grant will help pay for the Community Hall rental and decorations, PA system rental, printed advertisements and street signs, and some snacks for our vendors and volunteers.

On a very warm and sunny morning in November, the Bridgeland Christmas Market & Listening Room was bustling with opening preparations and excitement. The market opened at 10am and featured 15 local artist/vendors, 4 musical acts, and one author reading. The event was attended by hundreds of residents from all over Calgary, and was also a welcoming and festive event for the Bridgeland/Riverside neighborhood. The Cheezy Bizness food truck came to the market, as well as a visit from Santa and his elf! The artists and vendors were so happy to be able to share their craft with the public, and the Christmas shoppers were thrilled for the opportunity to shop local. Thank-you Calgary 2012 for bringing the amazing event to Calgarians this Christmas!
